If you have an iPad, you know that it can be a remarkable asset for a variety of situations. From filming your child's first steps to sharing that sweet recipe with your Facebook followers, it's an ingenious device.
For people who spend ample amounts of time online, like bloggers, there are several great apps for you, too.
Note: Many of these programs are available for the iPhone and Android, too!
1. WordPress
Whether you self-host or use a WordPress.com blog, this free app will allow you all the same capabilities you'd find on the regular browser version. Plus, it's totally free! A must-have for bloggers on-the-go.
2. Evernote
The Evernote logo says it all. It features an elephant, which reminds us that this program is meant to remember everything. From taking notes, capturing photos, creating to-do lists, and even making voice reminders, Evernote helps you stay focused and organized through one seamless system.
3. Tweetdeck
The name of this app doesn't do it justice. This Twitter-created app shares both Twitter and Facebook feeds in one nifty platform to save you time and energy (all those tab-opening clicks get exhausting). Plus, it costs absolutely nothing. So, maintain your social media networks, look like a pro, and pay nothing? That's a deal to me!
4. Dropbox
This productivity app lets you share documents and files across any device you want (including Blackberry, Kindle, Android, iPhone, and iPad). It's the ultimate cloud file sharing program, and it costs nothing.
Wonderfully useful for students, bloggers, business professionals, and kid-obsessed parents.
5. Pingdom
This program is perfect for bloggers and site managers who need to monitor constantly the statuses of their various sites. Check on your servers and get notifications as soon as any errors happen.
The best part? You can live a normal life away from the computer! Woohoo!
6. SimpleMind
Are you a visual planner? SimpleMind lets you create highly interactive mind maps for your latest project. Don't waste paper with old school linear plans. Instead, let your mental spiders take over and unleash the creativity! There are paid versions for iPhone and iPad, but there is one free version, too. Highly recommended!
7. HootSuite
With multi-network integration, access to stats, and the ability to send shout outs to everyone you want, the HootSuite iPad app makes social networking a breeze from wherever you like to relax.

8. G-Whizz
Access all of your Google apps, social media profiles (Facebook and Twitter), and keep your deadlines and appointments. Many people use this instead of other social media apps because it covers the two big ones. It's always an option, but we're going to keep HootSuite on board or now.
9. Coveritlive
To blog real-time events like shows, games, or all-you-can-eat dates, you're going to need Coveritlive. Used by some of the biggest names in the industry, it helps you keep your readers up-to-date on all of the latest news.
10. Pulse News
No matter what you cover, Pulse News will help you keep tabs on the most current news in your field. Completely customizable and a pleasure to read, it's a fantastic freebie.
